The
Digital driver
card post-box.
The digital
post-box is a
way of
centralising
driver card data
particularly
where an
operator has
multiple sites.
Some operator
sites have very
little or no IT
infrastructure
and certainly no
way of emailing
data.
On many
occasions there
are no office
staff available
at the times
that drivers may
have their cards
available for
download. (For
example agency
drivers
returning late
at night/early
morning.
The digital post
box is free
standing and can
be placed in a
position where
vehicle drivers
have access and
can therefore
upload their own
data without
fuss. The driver
simply follows
the on screen
display for card
insertion and
removal.
For
organisations
with a large
single site or
fully networked
locations there
is a net-
workable
version.
In simple terms
the digital
post-box is a
black box with a
built in driver
card reader and
mobile phone.
The driver
inserts his card
and the driver
data is emailed
to a
predetermined
email address.
Simple to get up and
running
Simply mount the
unit on the wall and
power up. You are
now ready to accept
driver card data via
the inbuilt card
reader found on the
underside of the
unit.
Straightforward
on screen feedback
The built in display
provides useful user
feedback at each
stage of the upload
process.
Display includes:-
-
Awaiting card
insertion
-
Signal strength
-
Progress of data
sending
-
Success of data
sending
Uses email to
transfer data
Once the drivers
card is inserted the
data
starts to
transmit to the
specified email
address. When the
card has been read
the driver is
informed and the
card can be
removed.
The mobile phone
network is used to
transfer data and is
system independent.
The data is simply
emailed to your
specified email
address from where
it can integrated
into our software.
