DOWNLOAD KEY ERRORS

 

First check that you are following the correct procedure for downloading data from the vehicle onto the download key.

1.  Switch on the ignition

2.  Insert the Company Card into slot one with the gold square facing upwards closest to the

     tachograph.

3.  Let the card register and go back to the original display.

4.  Insert the download key

5.  There should be one green light on the left and the right hand light should flash orange

6.  When the data has been transferred the right hand light should go green.

7.  Ignore download error code 12.

 

If the right hand light turns red, try the following.

 

Firstly try reprogramming the key with the latest updates.  The download key Ver 1 will need to be upgraded to work with later model digital tachographs.

Download the correct upgrade for your Download Key - VER 1 or 2.

 

Once downloaded to your computer attach your download key, extract the files from the download (Simply follow the instructions onscreen).  Your Download key will be upgraded automatically.  Retry to download the vehicle. 

 

If you still see a red light delete downloaded files from the key to free up space.

 

Attach the key to the computer.  Go to Start>My Computer.  Find the download key and delete vehicle files from the download folder.  You can also cut and paste them into a folder on your computer.  DO NOT DELETE ANY OTHER FILES.

 

The files are those starting with the following and ending .DDD

 

1.  M................DDD

2.  S.................DDD

If you have transferred driver card files onto the key also delete or transfer the following files.

3.  C..................DDD

 

Re download the vehicle.  If the right hand light still turns red, re-program the key using the following link.  Make sure you select the correct key I or II.

 

If the key still shows a red light return the key for re programming to the following address, with an explanation of the fault.
