How does it work?

The service offers enormous flexibility - Tachograph data can be entered at one office, or several depots, while the reports are run from head office - or even at home. The service can be used from anywhere with a PC and an Internet connection .

You purchase the compact chart reader and cable.  The two leads 1 and 2 connect into the reader and your mouse and leads 3 and 4 connect into the mouse port and COMS 1 port at the rear of your computer.  They cannot be mixed up because they will only fit into the correct ports.

Once you subscribe to the system you will be given your own Account, User ID and password.  You use these to book into your account via this website.  On the first occasion software will be downloaded to enable you to analyse charts and view and print reports.

Once the software is downloaded onto your computer you use the top 4 buttons of the number lock on your keyboard to feed in the duties from your charts. It's quick and easy and after a short period of time you should be able to analyse a week's charts for a driver in around 6 minutes. So for example if you have 10 drivers it will only take you one hour per week to analyse your charts.

To Add a New Chart

You load the chart onto the reader and lower the plastic cursor over it. Move the chart and align 24 hrs on the chart with the line on the cursor and press the 'home' key on your keyboard.  You then move the chart around ant-clockwise on the base to the first duty on the chart and press the corresponding key on your number lock as shown opposite (drive, crossed hammers, box or rest).  You then move the chart anti-clockwise to the next duty and again press the corresponding key.  You continue doing this, moving the chart around and pressing the keys, until you get to the end of the last duty on the chart, when you press 'end' on your keyboard.

The data from the chart can then be saved.  Once you have analysed all of the drivers charts you can then view and print as many reports as you want, when you want.

Do not be afraid to try this system.  It is easy to use and even if you send your charts away to be analysed, you can always use this system when you need to check charts and get the results immediately.  For example when a new driver starts to work for you, or you need to know working times for a particular job.

Driver & Vehicle Reports.

Inside a short period of time you will be analysing charts as well as the experts and getting your results within minutes, rather than weeks, using the Siemens-VDO analysis program.
