Installation problems

If you are having problems with software installation it could be due to:

  • Browser settings.  Details of which can be found here

Click on image for larger view.

If you are installing with Win 2000 or Win XP you must have full administrator rights or you will not be able to install the software. Please note that these privileges are only required for the initial installation, normal privileges can be used for everyday use of the service.

You may see the error message opposite which says that there has been a problem with the client software installation.  If you are using Windows XP look above the error box and you should see, in the information bar, a message which asks you to click here to download an Active X Control.  If you do, simply click to install the Active X control indicated by the red arrow.

This may occur:

  • When initially downloading the software.

  • Following a software upgrade.

When you have downloaded the crystal report viewer and try to view reports you may find that driver and vehicle reports are not displayed – a blank white page appears.

If this happens firstly try the solutions above.  If you still get a blank screen when trying to run reports try the fix outlined in the following PDF file.

Problems with installing Active X controls and the software

If you are having trouble downloading the software for TISWEB Version 1.3 following the links below and download the software directly from the link below.

The User name and password are both the same - datatrak

TISWebClientSoftwareSetup-V1-3.exe

Any problems sign into this link with the following in the address bar.  No www, or http, simply copy and paste the data.

ftp://81.138.125.17/

You can also try this if you are having problems installing the Crystal Report Viewer.

Setting login privileges

Your user name must have computer administrator privileges to download software.  To check your profile, go to:

  • Start

  • Control panel

  • User accounts

  • Change an account

  • Click on your user name

  • Click on Change my account Type

This will display either Computer administrator or Limited.  In order to download the software you must be a Computer Administrator.  If you are not you must change your privileges ( Only if you have permission to do this), or get someone who has these privileges to sign on and download the software.

https://www.my-fis.co.uk in the address line.

Make sure that there is no tick in the box marked "Require server verification (https) for sites in this zone.Press add and then just close down the boxes.

Also try http://www.my-fis.co.uk, if the above does not work.

  • Once you have entered my-fis as a trusted site click OK and go back to the previous screen.
  • Click custom level
  • Scroll down until you come to the Active X controls.
