Compact reader
The
reader is simple to install. It comes with a cable which attaches
to a COMS and mouse port at the rear of your computer and at the other
end to the reader and your mouse. The cable will only fit one
way and It is impossible to connect the cable the wrong way around.
Once
attached all you need to do is visit this site, sign into to the online
analysis using your Account, ID and Password details, which will
download software onto your computer, enabling you to use the service.
Couldn't be easier.
Driver's Card Reader
If you are using windows XP once you attach
the reader it will automatically be detected and the drivers loaded.
Simply follow the onscreen instructions. If you are on earlier
versions of windows we supply a link to download the drivers.
To download data you go to your account to
the download link. Select drivers card, insert the card and simply
follow the onscreen instructions.
You then need to check for any conflicts (To
do this we advise that you contact us by telephone and we will run you
through the operation)
Download Key
Follow the instructions in the manual to
download data from the digital tachograph onto the key. Then you
go to the download link in you account and click on transfer data,
insert the key
and simply follow the onscreen instructions.

Download Tool
Switch on the download tool, insert the
drivers card and press the corresponding button to download the data.
Once this is done and the green light illuminates plug the tool into a
computer to download your data. This would normally be copied and
pasted into:
C:\VKISClnt\Downloads.
The data can then be imported into your
database via the download link in your account. (To do this we
advise that you contact us by telephone and we will run you through the
operation)
The same procedure applies when downloading from the vehicle unit,
except that you will need to press a different key to start the
download. Details are contained in the instruction manual which
comes with the device.
